We are proud to announce Lazer Group’s acquisition of New York’s prestigious Franklin St. Showroom. Our LA-based fashion management group brings infrastructure and experience, adding a dynamic team focused on assisting fashion brands with all of their business needs. The acquisition leverages the Franklin St. collection of premiere fashion brands and increases Lazer Group’s access to broader and international markets and further cements Lazer’s commercial partner, Halkin Ventures’ activities in the U.S.

The mission of Lazer Group has always been to create a new kind of showroom. A showroom committed to helping brands achieve sustainable growth by providing services beyond traditional showroom representation. “Brands we work with will be supported in all facets of their business. In order to accomplish this, we’ve built partnerships with diverse functional experts in areas such as strategy, operations, data science, marketing, e-commerce, merchandising, finance, and sales,” says Lazer Group CEO and industry veteran Jonny Saven.

Another integral relationship to Lazer Group has been Halkin Business Partners. Halkin Business Partners has significant experience managing all of the finance and accounting operations for their fashion brand clients. Their ability to combine local and off-shore resources to provide everything from bookkeeping to CFO services ensures brands will be making more educated structural, operational, and strategic decisions.

With these partnerships in place, Lazer Group has created an innovative new business model that serves the needs of today’s fashion brands. 

About Franklin Street Showroom:

The Showroom was renamed Franklin St. Showroom in early 2017 to mark a new beginning, after 20 years of being named Steven Alan showroom. As the Showroom brands eclipsed in size that of Steven Alan, the namesake brand was taken back in house leaving a growing showroom and its team to move its reputation under a new umbrella. The new name paid homage to not only its longstanding location but also to the Tribeca neighborhood street that had served as the location of Steven Alan’s original flagship store and corporate offices for many years.

From first opening its doors over twenty years ago, the Showroom maintains its dedication, professionalism and enthusiastic approach to growing and nurturing both emerging and established designers by introducing their collections throughout the year to hundreds of retailers from around the world, ranging from unique neighborhood boutiques to large multi door departmentstores to web-based retailers catering to the world of fashion.
